Work progressing on Marchant library in Scranton

David LewisBrincksExteriors copyExterior work on the new Marchant Memorial Library in Scranton is near completion. David Lewis (pictured), an employee of Brincks Exteriors, recently installed the soffit on the west side of the building.
The front of the building is awaiting the installation of bricks on the ground level.
There is still work to be completed on the interior, but barring unforeseen complications, the new library should be ready to welcome books, other materials, and patrons in June.

Librarian Maggi Abernathy said the library board is making plans for the big move, which will likely involve volunteers to speed up the process.  ~The Scranton Journal
